Creating Africa’s Most Respected Energy Business
| CLIENT: | Vitol |
| SCOPE: | NAMING, BRANDING, CORPORATE VIDEO, COPYWRITING, BRAND GUIDELINES, BROCHURE DESIGN |
Vivo Energy is the new corporate entity and brand behind what was previously Shell’s downstream business across Africa. By growing the business, investing in new markets and realizing the potential of local staff, Vivo Energy intends to become the most respected energy business in Africa.
It is a business jointly owned by Shell, Helios Investment Partners and our client, Vitol, the world’s largest physical energy trader.
Our role was to find a name for the new business, create a design identity and tone-of-voice, establish the brand’s values and produce a suite of communications materials ready for the phased launch of the new business across, initially, seven African countries.
We named the business Vivo Energy and created the logo and colour palette.
We wrote and designed a book explaining the brand’s genesis and values and a comprehensive set of guidelines outlining brand usage on everything from letterheads and uniforms to signage and petrol tankers.
We wrote and produced a launch video and oversaw the logistical challenge of ensuring that everything was in place, on time, and ready for the launch events in country destinations as diverse as Morocco, Madagascar, Senegal and Mali.
We consulted regarding the design template for the Vivo Energy website (www.vivoenergy.com) and wrote all website content.
We are providing an ongoing service to country managers who need advice and guidance on brand implementation.
This was a complex, high-profile and business-critical brand communications project.
