OVERVIEW
BlueSquare Data is a dynamic and fast-growing business in the data storage and management marketplace. Our role was to find a tone of voice and design language that communicated their values with originality and authenticity, establishing BlueSquare as a brand apart from the many ‘me too’ players in the marketplace.
In creating an advertising campaign for BlueSquare Data, we were mindful of the fact that data industry trade publications normally featured pictures of servers and data racks. We thought we’d do something different. The creative platform is distinctive, cost-effective and achieves real stand-out across all relevant media.
The Data Centre Expo, held at The Barbican in London, is the showcase event for industry players. Our brief was to establish BlueSquare Data as a thoroughly professional, expert and approachable business. We created a stand that featured two 50" plasma screen displays showing a rolling video and installed a coffee bar to attract and retain visitors. The stand design centered around two illuminated cube tables - one showing a map of Milton Keynes, the other of Maidenhead (the locations of Blue Square’s data centres). Event staff were on hand to give out gift bags containing the usual selection of expo goodies as well as a 'mobile data centre' (USB stick), Z-Card containing data centre specifications, brochures, and custom-printed bottled water. The feedback received confirmed that we had succeeded in meeting that brief and helped consolidate BlueSquare Data’s position as the class act in the sector.
